Mennah Hafez

Mennah hafez an Egyptian artist was born in 1985 Studied art and theatre at the American university in Cairo. Mennah hafez had 9 exhibitions since graduation starting in Safarkhan and Al kahila then she moved to Dubai exhibited her art there and had an art residency in alserkal avenue at satellite gallery. She exhibited her art 3 times in alserkal avenue and had instillations and video art on a loop at satellite gallery and at the design district in ward gallery. Hafez moved back to Egypt two years ago and had one art show at Samah gallery in galleria 40 mall. Hafez is inspired by Egypt Sufism motherhood femininity and spirituality she often writes poetry and uses collage and her photography in her work. Mennah is a multidisciplinary artist she does video art and is a theatre actress and improv performer and she did many stand up comedy shows in Dubai Mennah also often makes satirical social commentary videos online. Hafez’s main focus is painting but all the other art forms interest her a lot she is also a certified healer and uses her studies in the energy field  to apply in her art using the power of colors and shapes to heal the viewer . Art to Mennah is like breathing she can not imagine life without it she started making art at the age of two and was raised in a family of artists where art was a very important part of her childhood. Mennah thinks art makes life better and without it there would be no breathing room.
